Mayor Shannon commend the brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Alumni Chapter Portsmouth/Suffolk Kappa's for their initiative in bringing seven outstanding young men to engage in meaningful conversations with him. 

Mayor Shannon was truly impressed by the young men's awareness of the world around them, and he stated "I am filled with pride knowing that they represent the future leaders of our community. A heartfelt thank you to the fraternity for being a transformative force in our community. It’s about taking action and making a difference, not just speaking about it. Together, we are shaping a brighter future!" The Kappa League is a program dedicated to providing educational, occupational, and social guidance for male students in grades 6 through 12.
